| Our Masters Coaches |
Steve Clancy. USMS Level II Coach. Steve has
been swimming Masters for nearly 20 years and has been
affiliated with a number of different Masters clubs in
Chicago and Houston. He swam competitively in high school
and competed at the Masters level in both local meets
and Regional/Zones.
Carrie DeMay. Though still new to Houston and Texas in general, Carrie has been both competitively swimming and coaching for more than 15 years. She is originally from upstate New York, where she swam both at the high school and Division III level. Following graduate school, Carrie lived 5 years in Alaska before moving south. While up North she coached at the age group level (8-12) and at the high school level...the year Juneau girls won states. Her coaching style centers around technique and stroke efficiency which she feel is the foundation for great swimming.
Janet Rush. USMS Level II Coach. Janet has been involved with
swimming for over 45 years. She has been a competitor,
instructor, volunteer, administrator and parent of a swimmer.
Janet competed in college. She was a board member/volunteer
at local US Swimming facilities in Houston. Janet has
also been involved in US Swimming at the national level.
Kyle Sanders. ASCA Level II Coach. With over 20 years swimming experience and as a University of Texas alumni, Kyle Sanders has been coached by some of the top coaches, including the 2008 Olympic Head Coach, Eddie Reese. Having trained with current Olympic champions Brendan Hansen, Ian Crocker and Aaron Peirsol, his experience at high-level national swim meets and being part of winning teams will allow him to guide your swimmer to meet their goals. He will focus on technique, and pass valuable knowledge on to the swimmers in order for them to succeed at their highest levels. Started and served as head coach for The South Shore Sails USA Swim Team, and the South Shore Sails Masters Swim Team in League City, Tx 2008-2011. |
